Fascinating... he sounds quite different from his brother here on the east
coast of the US. To my ear, the major difference is that the east coast
Hermit Thrush, at least the ones I've heard, don't 'slur' their first note.
Rather, it is a monotone, followed by the trill.

I feel sleepy now...
