thanks Martyn,

i've been using the DPA's for this too - very good for the job ! 

it's actually the sound of bumble bees i'm particularly interested in - they 
produce this middle c buzz, which honey bees don't. It seems to be something to 
do with the way the extract pollen from plants by vibrating the particles !
