There are around 30 species of bumble bee in western USA, and more than a dozen
of those are considered common. That from the Xerces Society:

A while back I shared this recording to this group:

The third segment in there has sounds of bumble bees on a blooming currant bush
in the Ochoco Mountians of central Oregon. There may be two species there.
