When i joined, quadrant faders and even some massive rotary faders were still in use. http://www.roger.beckwith.btinternet.co.uk/bh/marconi/marconi.htm When the BEEB stopped designing its own equipmant they had to change over. In the Film Unit, we had a BBC portable mixer which often needed to be extended by a hired mixer and it kept you awake remembering which way to fade each one.
