Hello,
i think the balanced cables has a lot to do with the better signal
conditions! :-)
as also David pointed out, it is the relation (ratio) betveen the wanted
signal to the unwanted signal that you want to do better. Also the
cellphones (as AC apparatus) does produce a electromagnetical field that
contains alot of different frequencies from the digital communications. The
unbalanced cables acts as receivers for these fields, inducing the unwanted
signal onto the wanted, whereas the balanced has a lot better abilities to
suppress them.
Speaking of electromagnetic fields and listening to them - unwanted or not
