Ken,

I've found fishing rod holders work well for long shotgun mics as well
as boom poles. They have the advantage of being lined so your gear
doesn't get scratched easily. If you have a Cabela's near you take a
look at their bargain cave for returns & you might find a really good
deal. The last couple I bought for my boom poles were around $20.

I happen to have a small one that I bought for a mic that I no longer
have... it's the "Stowaway 7" model and would fit a 16" long mic. I paid
$10 for it. Email me if you're interested.

sounds. I hope to take it on field trips and was wondering if anyone
knows of a suitable travel case for the microphone? Or are these mikes
so durable that they can take a lot of jostling in my trunk? :)
