Hi,
i'm afraid there are some errors here. Firstly the sound wasn't out of sync=
with the maggots movements - there is very slight lag on the audio on the =
bbc site which might be why you think it was out of sync perhaps.
No cleaning up was done either. The sanken & the dpa's have very low self n=
oise anyway & given that lots of the sound of some key nature documentaries=
were recorded with the DPA's for example I think the statement that they a=
re't suitable for nature recording isn't a valid one. The other thing to re=
member with these particular recordings is that because this was done in th=
e AChamber the gain level could be kept relatively low.
