I just conducted a recording duration test of Olympus LS-100 using a
phantom powered Audio-Technica PB4025 stereo mic (draws 7mA typical)
with the recorder connected via USB to a neat little Anecoo AdiVolt
USB Battery Pack - capacity: 5000mAh @ 3.7V; output: 5V 1000mA (max)
see http://www.anecoo.com/en/product/photo_6.html, acquired on ebay
for A$34.
With the recorder set to 44.1/16bit and phantom set to 48V it kept
recording until it filled up the 8gb SD card: so a total of 14 hours
51 minutes of audio captured in four wav files. I think filling up the
SD card was around the same time the external battery ran out, because
when I checked the external battery around that time the battery pack
indicators light had gone off, and the recorder had switched itself to
the internal battery which kept the recoding for another 2.5 hours,
but that extra content was not captured on the internal memory.
I'll try again with rec mode set to MP3 to see how long I can get.
