Normal mic plus piezoelectric contact mics are rather old technology for ve=
ry quiet sound pick-up. A laser vibrometer is probably way out of budget fo=
r the piece but should of been considered. I guess it depends on the conten=
ts Mr Watson's gadget bag. I'd suggest he contact me offline for further ma=
d science correspondence on this subject.
