ent variable to the discussion(obviously off the wall -- now I know), as I =
believe sometimes answers come from a non-specialist's naive perspective.

Yes, but a magnet does not produce an alternating current of whatever frequ=
ency showed up in the analysis. The field surrounding a magnet is static, l=
ike DC, i.e. has no AC frequency component at all.
