I've put a pheasant call on my webpage with a site pic: http://www.stowford.org/recordings.htm#pheasantlong It calls for nearly 8 minutes. I was recording at a low level as usual but the pheasant was very close and hit the limiter a few times. I tried compressing the recording but it sounded bad so the "normal" birdsong is quiet. Mind you, they haven't got their spring voices yet but I've got a blackbird which has picked up a phone ringtone. Had me doubling back to the house a couple of times. Hope to get it closer soon but I'm sure it's the bird I called "Intel" last year. The two frequencies it uses are 1500Hz amd 2500Hz.
