If so check the leads which may be "one legged" with a short on one of the balanced lines or a screen may have broken. Move all leads away from anything with a transformer. If none of these options, it must be from the K6 or the recorder. Swap around everything you can. A low level hum at an exact frequency can be filtered out with a notch filter without damaging a recording, but not if there are higher "buzz" frequencies.
