This is a recording I made recently with a Sony M10 and a Rob D style PBBA =
using 2x em172 capsules on each channel.

It is a very evocative sound from my childhood which I have been trying to =
record for a while.

The pebble ridge is a well known local feature (called a spit) about 4km lo=
ng, formed by long-shore drift constantly moving, working and depositing ma=
terial carried from further down the coast.

I remember the sound of the pebbles being much deeper and more clunky which=
means they would have been somewhat larger 40 years ago, which is quite po=
ssible as the ridge is a very dynamic structure, constantly changing, both =
in the long and short term.

I made two recordings, one with the rig parallel with the ridge, and this o=
ne at 90 degrees.
This one seems to capture the movement and gives a better impression of wha=
t is going on.

Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks,Ross
