The easiest way is to use a screen recorder as far as I know.
I made this example in a couple of minutes.

The file is almost 15mb so you have to wait if you have a slow connection.

The example of a modified waveform was black and white, perhaps he'd done s=
ome other things to it that I didn't notice. Perhaps he just wanted a colou=
r choice that isn't offered in the widget. I think he wanted to make the ma=
