In April we discussed star quad and combining mic leads and this is
part of my reply to a poster who picked up RF from a local
transmitter.

As soon as you feed two mic leads into one cable you are liable to set
up a dipole with the shielding let alone the conductors which will
then conduct down the star quad very effectively whatever the
grounding arrangements.

The risk with 6-core is cross-talk between channels which is less
serious with stereo use, but if it is a critical job, individually
screened pair cable is safer.
