Hi Greg,
The setup for the blimp boundary mics is shown here:
http://www.urlme.net/blog/?p=3D1733
Spacing between the rode metal hoops is 7" and between boundary housing its=
a total of 7.5 inches. (19cm in new money) / 180 degrees recording angle w=
ith the boundary giving an emphasis of +6dB at 4Khz for side / off axis sou=
rces which may not be that desirable.
The hypercardoids which are also on some of the soundclown recordings are 3=
5cm apart both facing forwards in a phased array.
I also found this blog which is relevant:-
http://recordingsofnature.wordpress.com/2010/03/21/quasi-binaural-setup/
Hope this helps.
-Mike.
