In fact using the fr-2 with AA bateries is extremely hard some times. You c=
an not record more than two hours without change them

Capacity these days is 4500mAH and above at 7.2V. Your limited based on the=
battery compartment size, 7.2V packs will use 6 cells.
Anything that is 6 cell at 7.2 V and the highest capacity you can find shou=
ld work providing the charger is sufficient.
If your recording in the cold, using the original AA battery holder and low=
self discharge batteries.
