Sony's 7509s and 7506s are very different from one another. The 7506 does a=
 great job of sitting comfortably around your ears for long periods of time=
, and is clear in the midrange and treble, but deficient in the bass end of=
 frequency response. The 7509 has much better bass response but its larger =
ear cups do not stay on your head as stably as the 7506s do.

I can't offer comparison to the Sennheisers you mentioned. But I use both 7=
506s and 7509s for different purposes, the former for documentary and natur=
e sound gathering, the latter for music recording remotes.
