Hi there

Wont be able to give you a good comparison, but I can tell you that I use t=
he Sony MDR-7506s and they are superb for all sorts of tasks. I use them in=
 the field, for mixing, and for listening as well. For ~$90 USD, they are t=
he best thing going. I actually recently picked up some consumer sennheiser=
 cans for my wife at a slightly higher price-point and they sounded so crap=
py and dead that I immediately returned them.
