Peter I have just tested my M10,
I have a Sandisk 16GB card which apparently is a "C2" (never looked at that
before !). It takes an average of 8 secs from slidng the power button to the
Rec button being ready to activate. As for the C2 class: I have never had a
read/write issue with this machine.
However the M10 takes such little battery power that once I switch it on it
stays there for as long as I am out with it (usually 5-6 hours, maybe up to 8),
after that I only need to use my thumb to hit record and pause (I usually have
a parabola in the other hand), I get days of use out of a decent brand of AAs
that way. Its the sliding power switch that slows my reactions down.
Hope this helps, I have no other size card to test it with I'm afraid.
best
Chris
