Hi Yall!
In fact I recently changed to mainly record in LOW setting with my LS-10/11.
It gives you enough headspace for any sound event that might happen,
even a thunderstorm moving by would not cause any clipping.
AND I found out that there is no audible difference in hiss when the
recording is even amplified by 15 dB compared to a HIGH setting recording.
I usually make over night recordings in this way.
