Thank you, Mark.
I am only following your lead with Bandcamp.
That track, Great Horned Owls and a Western Screech Owl, was recorded in se=
mi-arid central Oregon 300 hundred miles from the Pacific Ocean. There are=
strong ecosystem connections, however, through the ocean going salmon that=
use these streams. The background roar is likely from a light and steady w=
ind against Juniper covered slopes and ridges and resonating through the va=
lleys. Also a perennial stream through a larger valley flows not too far aw=
ay. The mics were near the bottom of a fairly steep and narrow valley where=
that geography could have accentuated such resonance.
