t Date: Sun Jun 12, 2011 1:02 pm ((PDT)) Yes, the recording was a White Tail Deer, I knew once I heard the first twi= g snap, hooves! And also the challenge to the mics is hoof stamping. I think = you are dead right though Martyn, seldom do we really see bears in the woods, t= hey are usually the ones who know we are there first. I have smelled them thoug= h. A lot of what was in the recording I couldnt hear with my own ears, I could o= nly hear the louder thumps. Anyway, it was a great experience, one of those 'al= ive' times where all your senses go into fight or flee mode. It was also quite amazing to have to rely on my ears when I couldnt see it or smell it... Goo= d job Ray! thanks all Mark Mark A.
