Hi John,

Mic sens Hi, rec level 8-10 sounds a bit high to me. Your recordings
will be noisy at anything more than about High 5.

In the menu, make sure you have set manual record level (not auto),
and limiter off.

If I hold my LS10 (internal mics) about one foot away from my mouth,
and dial facing me, my normal speaking voice will register between
-18 and -12 dB, with settings on Low 10.

With settings on High 5, my voice registers between -6 and 0 dB and
sometimes clips.

Is this roughly the same for you?

cheers,

Vicki
