Down in the marsh area today I found this beautiful hooded merganser who in=
turn popped and growled for me many times into my microphones. Just to the=
rear of my microphones to my delight was the drumming sound of a ruffed gr=
ouse. A small gravel road separated the pond from the forest. Two separate =
biomes complimenting each other, forest and ponds yet nature, comes togethe=
r as one. This is a section of an hour long recording I made very early thi=
s morning. The dawn choruses are beautiful and will only get better as othe=
r birds arrive to take their place in the orchestra. Please enjoy these two=
main players in this snippet.
