June 20 - 23, the Earthfire Institute in Tetonia, Idaho, is sponsoring a soundscape ecology workshop that both Martyn Stewart and I will be leading. The Institute is an awesome site that rehabilitates wolves, bear, and other fauna located on the Western side of the Tetons (about 18 miles across from Jackson Hole), in a valley rich with natural soundscapes. As part of the workshop, we will be focusing on soundscape ecology and I introduce the thesis of my new book, "The Great Animal Orchestra: Finding the Origins of Music in the World's Wild Places," scheduled for publication in early 2012, through Little Brown. The workshop is limited to 10 participants. Contact: http://earthfireinstitute.org/, Martyn Stewart, or me for more information.
