It's simply not a market where anyone can afford the luxury of being precious about a theoretical quality advantage when the acoustic conditions under which they record are generally already far worse than 16 bit 44.1k. In many cases these guys are struggling to get even 3 dB of dialog precedence over the background ambience. Scott Fraser |
