The C1000s are far from the most popular mikes among this cohort, but they =
can be serviceable. Don't give the mikes much value when you price the kit.

The Shure S15A stand is made of soft thin tubular aluminum, and is subject =
to bending. At my former workplace in the equipment room there was a pile o=
f S15's and S15A's in a corner, bent beyond usability. If you take good car=
e of it, and if the case is rigid enough to be protective, this stand may s=
uffice for you. But I've had better luck with tall stands from Bogen and Ma=
nfrotto.
