Nagra is announcing a new hand-held recorder at the National Association of= Broadcasters meeting in April. The exhibitors guide says: "The Nagra SD is a hand-held digital audio recorder, packed with features, = menu driven, and housed in a sturdy aluminum case. It uses a selection of d= ifferent plug-on Nagra microphones or an XLR cable for an external dynamic = microphone or line input. Audio storage media is an extractable SD memory c= ard. Records PCM linear audio (24 kHz to 96 kHz) or MPEG compressed audio. = Other features include 3 second pre-record buffer, USB 2.0 communications." This model sounds like a successor to the Nagra Ares-M II recorder. I can'= t attend the NAB convention this year. If you're attending (Dan Dugan? oth= ers?), please stop by the Nagra booth (C1605) and take a look. --oryoki |
