Hi all, off to the beach today! 3ft of ice for as far as you can see out in=
to
the Northumberland Strait of Nova Scotia, Canada. Here is the soundscape..

the deep rumble is actually a Canadian ice breaker 16km away - I calculated=
 the
distance using Google Earth as I could see it high up on a hill. Amazing th=
at
the sound can travel this far with ice cover. This is an interesting but qu=
iet
recording and best with headphones. Was hoping for over wintering ducks, bu=
t
missed again!
