Michael, Chris Watson did better on a BBC doc shown recently when he put a lapel mic in a nest and recorded unhatched chicks chirping. Ravens seem to have extensive subsongs which I've been trying to record. They seem to be muttering quietly to each other. I can't find a raven nest here, but it would be interesting to mic one up.
