With colleagues at Purdue University, I have co-authored an article, featured in the March issue of BioScience (Vol. 61 No.3), on the subject of soundscape ecology titled: "Soundscape Ecology: The Science of Sound in the Landscape." The article presents the first exposition of the unifying theory of soundscape ecology that ties most of the relevant subjects, biophony, geophony and anthrophony, discussed in the group together. It is not on-line just yet, but should be, soon. The link (w/ sounds) when operational will be dx.doi.org/10/1525/bio. Message: 2011. Subject: 61.3.6. For those interested in the meantime, I can send (or post) a pdf.
