Tom,

Thanks for your comments. In the evening recordings I've done, it goes
through an enormous repertoir, but the recordings last 20 minutes or
so. I'm still learning to identify bird calls and I couldn't find
anything to compare this with. I didn't realise they were such good
mimics.

I've drawn up a cast list in order of appearance: thrush, tawny owl
male, female, other tawny male, raven, pheasant, wood pigeon, crow
(which?), tits (species?), distant rooks. There are normally resident
jackdaws around as well. I've resisted the temptation to noise reduce
the stream background.

Never seen one here, but have lots of pesky squirells that can make
that sound and many other sounds. :-(
