You've got me puzzled now. I'm monitoring on Sennheiser HD25's and can't he=
ar any LF activity in the RX2 processed track that isn't present in the ori=
ginal.
There is a LF pulse below 150hz which sounds like it's echoing especially n=
ear the vocalisations at 20 seconds in, but this is audible in the original=
recording. I suspect it might be Emu "booming" but please let me know if y=
ou are talking about something different.
I've checked the relevant chapter in the Handbook of Australian, New Zeala=
nd, and Antarctic Birds* and the "booming" sonogram looks very similar in t=
erms pacing and frequency to what is present on the recording.
