Other notable differences from the earlier LS series recorders:
4GB onboard storage (topped only by the LS11's 8GB)
optional extra storage via a micro SD card (smaller than previous models' r=
egular SD card)
uses AAA batteries (rather than AAs)
a big step forward: the LS-7 can recharge NiMH AAAs onboard, either from US=
B or from an optional DC5V AC adapter
the mikes are more recessed into the body than earlier models
no foam windscreen is shown either as an included or as an optional accesso=
ry (vs earlier models' included but easily lose-able twin pullons for the t=
wo mikes)
It'll be interesting to see what the utility of the third mike is. The angl=
e of spread of the two side mikes is still just 45 degrees off center, same=
as earlier models. Without the center mike frequency response goes down to=
70 Hz; with the center omni added they rate it down to 20 Hz.
