The NAMM Winter meeting took place in Anaheim CA USA this week. Among the new gear announcements were -- Olympus LS-7 pocket field recorder. Smaller and lighter than the LS-10 and LS-11, the LS-7 adds a center mic to help boost sensitivity to low frequency sound. Suggested retail price $199. http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/product.asp?product=1547 -- Audio Technica 2022 XY mic. Suggested retail price for this two-capsule mic is $429. No frequency response or sensitivity numbers available at this point. AT says this mic was designed for field work. Powered by a single AA cell in the handle, or by XLR cable from the recorder. http://www.audio-technica.com/cms/wired_mics/a2c67abf775c91bf/index.html |
