I don't know if there's any catch, but many web hosting companies offer unlimited bandwidth and unlimited storage space now. And there are many of these offered at less than $5.00 / month. They might pinch bandwidth down to something really slow while trying to transfer a really large file. I don't know. And I have to imagine that the companies that specialize in on-line backup probably put more effort into security, but if you're just trying to make sure that you still have your favorite files after a tornado carries your house away, it might be a cheap and flexible way to go. I work from home, but my office is pretty far away from my house, so I just back files up between the two. Regards, Robb |
