Rob This particular recording was done on a 500 foot cable from my studio into = the woods, This one was done M/S. I use the rycote duck in extreme weather = conditions. I do however have an external mic that I use to monitor what is happening o= ut there, its an old MKH running into a firewire interface. There is fantas= tic coyote vocalisations happening at the moment with their pups in tow. There is some software out there to help but my system is live and just use= d for monitoring the fauna when i'm around. We have 5 black bears at the mo= ment that frequent the garden, its great to listen too... As with all recording info i use the weather data too, but i'm not clever e= nough to see behavior patterns associated with it...
