Is it a nature recording if I don't leave home?

>From my front yard. Mics flown up near the hummingbird feeders. Hanging b=
y the kitchen windows. Finally one taker 16+ minutes later. I've heard th=
e buzz of the wings before, but not the squawk.

I recorded in stereo, but the gain was too high on one channel (+54dB on th=
e MM-1) and the limiter went into some funky loop mode. Next attempt no li=
miter, less gain. I took video, but haven't edited it yet. As in swapped =
recorded outside audio for inside camcorder audio. Plus I'm gonna try to g=
et a better take. I was hoping for another bird to attack the other feeder=
for the full stereo effect of two mics, but that didn't happen this time. =
Plus the one channel without usable results.

Later this evening I can get the backyard (shady side) for less pond filter=
noise. Lots of other birds in the neighborhood with the structure above t=
he pond, and various feeders and houses. Don't know the species, but that'=
s what the camcorder is for. Kind of green in color for the hummingbird.

Enjoy,

- James
