My method of using scotchFil is= to cut a piece off the roll about 3/4" (half the normal width) and about 4"= long. As you wrap the joint, pull and stretch this material out until it is= about 1/3 its original thickness or thinner and wrap as you would any tape= in overlaping spirals.
