I've podcasted an example of a "portrait" recording at www.7Loons.com - lo= ok for the Ravens in the podcast section of my web site. The courting rave= ns are featured but several other species are present. The recording was w= ith the SD 722 and Sennheiser 30/40 MS pair. While the ravens are not rare or exotic, I hope to show that even a common = species can be entertaining to capture in sound. These audio portraits are= where I'm currently having my fun. The White-throated Swift podcast is an= other portrait example. To me, these ravens sound more like a married couple than a pair in new cou= rtship. Perhaps they have finished the romance earlier in the spring and a= re now furnishing the nest. They sound like a young couple discussing home= decor down at the Home Depot store. Or maybe an older couple? Perhaps th= ere is a note of discord? Blatantly Anthropomorphic, Kevin www.7Loons.com |
