Hi all, over the last few days I had made up a parallel array for recording=
with my telinga clip on mic's and H4N recorder. I wanted to get a better s=
ense of space and made something based loosely on what I had seen on the In=
ternet and also some=A0designs from our group. I had a chance to test it th=
is morning for the first time in good conditions and have posted a sample r=
ecording here

http://wildearthvoices.org/index.php?p=3D1_25_Private

its a 2 min recording the original being 28=A0mins of a lake edge with most=
ly Mink Frogs calling and the usual species you would find in a wetland lik=
e this, although I was happy to also record a Canada Warbler too.

All the tech info is on the URL. Its made from 2x6=A0spruce and=A0I used li=
ttle nail on clips that you would use for securing wire to a wall to hold t=
he clip on mics. As you can see in the photos in designed it to hold the mi=
cs either vertical or horizontal, depending on what kind of habitat=A0I was=
recording in, they are set so the mics are about one inch back from the fr=
ont. The tripod is an old telescope tripod I had lying around. =A0There are=
other clips top and bottom to hold the windshields. I am going to have a g=
o at making=A0some sort of foam cover for the front and see how this affect=
s the recording. I was fairly pleased with the results. Headphones are best=
.
Cheers all...
