Hi all, we had a great thunderstorm here last night in Nova Scotia, with la=
shing heavy rain that would put a fire hose to shame! The claps of thunder =
were so loud I had to run the mic input down to 2 on the H4N with Telinga C=
lip on=E2=80=99s, even then it was almost overloading. I would normally rec=
ord at about 60-65 for an ambient recording.=A0The H4N's mic input=A0tops o=
ut at 100. I monitored the recording levels but couldn=E2=80=99t get it rig=
ht until the end of the storm when I caught two claps that were good. A gre=
at learning experience and very challenging. I was wondering how some of yo=
u go about recording heavy rain and thunder at the same time. Once I get th=
e file downloaded onto the computer I will post it. Definitely the loudest =
natural =E2=80=98thing=E2=80=99 I have tried to record last night.
Cheers
Mark
