Hundreds of years ago the ancestral Puebloan people built cliff dwellings a= nd lived in the canyons of southwest Colorado. The dwellings were subseque= ntly abandoned and the people moved southward where their descendants live = today. Under a special use permit, I was able to record the dawn sounds at Spruce = Tree House in Mesa Verde National Park this spring. This recording will gi= ve you a sense of what the canyon might have sounded like centuries ago whe= n inhabited by native Americans. It is the most recent podcast at my web s= ite www.7Loons.com. There is a photo on the web site of Spruce Tree House.= My Sennheiser MKH 30/40 mics were placed at the ruins where they recorded= the early dawn hours. Kevin www.7Loons.com |
