Hi Vlad,
Yes, I just set the RTC of the Fostex to the precise local time.
However, if one forgot to adjust the time properly, any potential time lag =
(including time zone or daylight saving offsets) can also be compensated a=
fterwards in my software (the software internally adds these user-defined o=
ffsets to the original time stamp of the .wav file). The software than simp=
ly searches for the nearest entry in the GPS track log file and saves its c=
oordinates (and GPS UTC time stamp) into the BWF metadata.
Regards,
Raimund

the mechanics of the "automatic" assignment. Did you simply sync the RTC of=
the Fostex to that of the GPS device, and then match them up later when th=
e WAV files were downloaded? As far as I can tell (I have a Fostex as well)=
there isn't a way to sync the recorder with an external device logging, or=
is there? Wouldn't you have to try and sync RTCs? (Not too hard with the F=
R2-LE's 00sec-set feature.) I would like to do much the same for audio+vide=
o+GPS.
