I've decided to give up on film/video related sound recording, and to that end I've been been selling off some of my equipment (lav's, booms, etc.)... So, now I need to decide whether to sell my Fostex FR2, and possibly the Wendt X3 mixer, to purchase a Sound Devices 702. I've read up on the 702's merits, and I know that the FR2 is quite a capable machine- I'm just wondering if I might like the 702 that much more to justify the extra expense. Any opinions? As far as mics go- I'm keeping my AT3032 and AKG C393B pairs, and will probably try to add a Mid-Side pair in the future. John |
