Hi Desiree,

You might have a look at the Avisoft-SASLab Pro software 
(http://www.avisoft.com/soundanalysis.htm) that includes a manual spectrogram 
eraser tool. Here is an example of how it works:

Original noisy spectrogram:

This kind of editing is applied to the spectrogram only (just like in an image 
editing software). But it would also be possible to apply these modifications 
to the underlying waveform (command "Tools"/"Remove erased spectrogram sections 
from waveform..."). Depending on the selected settings, this procedure may 
however introduce some distortions and artifacts.
