Hello everyone,

I was hoping to up the input level into my Fostex fr2-le by adding a good, =
field-friendly preamp. I looked at a few for comparison, but most were not =
field friendly (size, power requirements):

=95 bm audio dmp-3
=95 PreSonus BLUETUBE DP - Two-Channel Dual Path Microphone Preamplifier
=95 RDL FP-MP1 - Microphone Preamplifier
=95 RDL RU-MLA2 - Dual Channel Microphone/Line Preamplifier
=95 sound devices MP-1 Portable Microphone Preamp
=95 M-Audio Audio Buddy Microphone Preamplifier
=95 Rolls MP13 Mini Microphone Preamp
=95 SM Pro Audio XPM1 - Single Channel Nano Series Microphone Preamp

Any thought on any of these, or other recommendations? I'm also puzzled abo=
ut the benefits of connecting the preamp to recorder with unbalanced vs. ba=
lanced lines, or using the Toslink or S/PDIF connections on the recorder. T=
hanks for any help--I'm very new at this!

Vlad
