--Apologies for cross posting--
This outdoor sound recording workshop (ambient, birdcalls etc) is about to =
be canceled due to lack of interest. It's a hands-on course by Roger Bought=
on and Phil Riddett.
It runs from the evening of the 7th to the morning of the 10th May at a pla=
ce called Kindrogan (north of Perth, Scotland).
If you are interested please get in contact with =
ncil.org ASAP.
Description:
"This course will look at suitable equipment for wildlife sound recording s=
uch as microphones, recorders, sound reflectors, wind shielding, bat detect=
ors and the pros and cons of different equipment. We will also look at the =
techniques of field recording such as Stereo and Mono techniques.
The course will cover how to edit, archive and analyse the animal sounds us=
ing the computer.
The course will also look into how and why birds and other animals make the=
sounds they do, and the places and subjects to record."
I can't find any details on their website (www.field-studies-council.org/ki=
ndrogan) but I have posted the word document on my website: http://www.perd=
