Hi Stephen,

Do you know how many hours you intend to record?

For a project last year I investigated solutions for maximizing
portable battery hours and ended up getting a D-cell sled made by
Sonic Studios. It worked like a champ. With a large capacity battery
on the recorder as well total record time would probably have gotten
into the 24 hour range or so, but I only did a 13+ hour recording at
one sitting. This was for a 722 recording to HD and phantom powering
one mic (but running two preamps).

I had investigated luggable sealed lead acid battery solutions of
various types, but went with the D-cell sled because the hours/weight
ratio was dramatically preferable -- if environmentally irresponsible.
:/

If you have access to AC I have had good results with the Lenmar Mach
1 fast charger. I believe it came with a DC powering option as well
but I don't recall!

Best,
aaron
